Student internships are a mandatory element of the study program. Their purpose is to provide students with professional experience and to verify theoretical knowledge in market conditions.

1. Who are the internships for?

The obligation to complete an internship applies to all 3rd-year full-time and part-time students in the following fields:

  • Automation and Industrial Electrical Engineering,
  • Electrical Engineering,
  • Computer Science.

This requirement directly stems from the Regulations of Studies at KUT.

2. General information

  • Time requirement: minimum 120 hours.
  • Duration: recommended 4 weeks.
  • Purpose: Acquiring practical skills and achieving the learning outcomes specified in the course syllabus.

3. Recommended internship periods

Students choose one of the two preferred periods:

Completing the internship during a different period is possible with the approval of the Vice Dean for Student Affairs (the student must provide written approval to the Internship Coordinator before the Agreement is prepared).

  1. Request for approval
  2. Statement on the Rules of the Internship – 1 copy
  3. Internship agreement for KUT students (Appendix No. 1) – 2 copies
  4. Internship program for Computer Science

Important: Students are required to have valid accident insurance for the entire duration of the internship.

After completing the internship at the selected workplace, the internship completion process proceeds according to the following steps:

  • Organizational meeting: The group supervisor will organize a meeting to provide detailed guidelines and set the deadline for final documentation submission.
  • Required documents for completion:

  2. Internship record card
  • Finalization of the process: After verifying the students’ documentation, group supervisors submit a collective report on group supervision by September 11, 2026.
